Subject: [OHCUYAHO-L] Where can I get Death notice.

First I would like to thank those who gave me the path for requesting my
grandparents as well as my bio father. I called the cemetery where my
birth father is buried in Cleveland to learn he is buried by an all
together different wife. I tried to find this women's obit to
request. She is; however, not listed in the archives of the Cleveland
Plain Dealer for the year I got from Holy Cross Cemetery. I phoned the
funeral home that handled my birth father's burial and they told me they
would get back to me with whatever info they have and can share. I feel
that his last wife is alive and I have thought it over and feel that she
may be quite old if she is near the age of my birth father. I don't
want to make waves for anyone or cause any problems. I, dearly, want
the dates of marriage for this man as well as the record for the
apparent second wife. I would also like a copy of her obit for my
files. I have a date I am assuming she died in Cleveland as well, but I
would like to be sure. I really would like to talk to the current wife
and will most likely contact the home she is at to see if they feel it
would be okay. Maybe she would like to talk about her husband. I know
all the bad stories from my mother and his family maybe she would like
to tell someone of his good. I plan on a trip to Holy Cross this
summer.
Here is my question. Since I could not find a record of this second
wife in the obit would there be a place to look for death notices?
I have some questions concerning the Catholic factor for any one out
there who wouldn't mind my imposing. While my mother's family was and
is very devout I was not raised as a Catholic. My adoptive father was
Amish/Mennonite and we were taken to and EUB church as a neutral church
for both families.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
