I would like to recommend a powerful search engine
that you may have overlooked.
The people at SNAP has a great one and is excellent
for genealogical searches.
Their URL is;
http://home.snap.com/main/channel/item/0,4,-8889,00.html?st.sn.fdts.0.cp-8889
which takes you directly to their genealogy page and the search
engine.
Great tip here is to enter the name you are searching as "William
Buckner"
rather than just William Buckner and it will zero in on the
genealogical
aspect.
Another search tip that will be helpful with any engine is to also
search
through your ancestor's wife as you will find much information on your
primary line through the wife. This works well when you start running
into brick walls with your male lines.
In fact I can state that in most cases while working lines I have found
that most of the information located has come from sources or
researchers
NOT working the line in question!! Otherwise from the wife's lineage
or the female lines. Don't neglect this angle.
Happy Hunting
