I have been reading unindexed Common Pleas (Court Records) of Cuyahoga
County, OH for the 1840's. I am looking for certain names in my family. One
of them is Lacy. I have often seen the following names together: JOHNSON AND
LACY. I'm curious, was that some sort of a company or a business or just too
names together?

My main surnames are THORP and LAFLER, but I am also searching LACY, GARDNER,
SELDEN, GRANT, COUNTRYMEN, QUACKENBUSH, ECKERMANN, and GLEBB. My Thorp
family lived in and around Warrensville 1820-1900 and Lafler in Orange,
approx. 1820-1850. All the other names married into my Thorp and/or Lafler
families.
