Hi Jean,
You are definitely not alone. I've been having the same problem ... at
first you start thinking you must have imagined seeing the data.

I'm not so sure they are doing themselves a service by putting out these
freebies. I grew so frustrated with using their online 1920 census that I
gave up and went out and order the census CD from Heritage Quest. My
husband's family is from one of the counties included in their 1920 Ohio
census. I knew there was no index, but the frustrating part is that there
is no "go to Page..." function. You go to the county and then to the
enumeration district, but you have to view all the pages sequentially, which
means that if you are looking for someone on page 20, you have to download
pages 1-19 first! It took 1-2 minutes for each page to download. So it can
take you almost an hour to get to a family even if you know the exact page!
And if you get interrupted, you have to start again from the beginning.
After about 3 hours of this, I gave up. My time (and eyesight) are more
valuable than that!

Janet in N.J.
