I am looking for additional information regarding Thomas Walsh (born in
Ireland and died in Cleveland, OH) and any members of his family to include
Coynes and Prendergasts. I have the following information:

death was reported by his nephew, Michael Pendergrast (sic) of 6518 Woodland
Ave. Address at death was given as 9249 Pratt St.
Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #083
Name: Walsh, Thomas
Date: November 13, 1922 .
Notes: Walsh-Thomas, brother of Sister Bernard and Sister Benadict of Villa
Marie, at the residence of Mr. Martin Conaboy, 9349 Pratt avenue. Funeral
Tuesday. Services at Holy Name church at 8:30 a. m.
Buried in Grave 2098 Range 26 Section 50 of Calvary Cemetery. Marker
indicates 1860-1922.
My grandmother purchased his burial plot and the address given for him at
his death was that of my grandmother Mrs. Martin Conoboy (nee Brigid Coyne).
I have reason to believe he is related to my great-great grandmother,
Barbara Walsh, however, I have nothing to connect the two other than the
common address on Pratt St. I was able to find the following on Sisters
Bernard and Benedict of Villa Marie, PA:
Margaret Walsh [Sr. Bernard Walsh] was born Sept. 20, 1856 in Ireland.
Her parents were Michael and Brigid (Henahan) Walsh who also were born in
Ireland. She became a novice, receiving her religious name, in July 1880
and made her First Vows July 18, 1882 and her Profession of Final Vows on
August 15, 1888. She died at Villa Maria, Pennsylvania April 13, 1943 at
the age of 86.Sr. Bernard did domestic work in the Humility of Mary
Community at everal places, though the record keeping in the late 19th
entury often lacked detail.
Anna Walsh [Sr. Benedict Walsh] was born December 31, 1859 in Ireland. My
records did not show that the two were sisters. She became a novice and
received her religious name July 18, 1882 and made her First Vows July 16,
1884 and her Profession of Final Vows on July 19, 1890. She died at Villa
Maria, PA February 20, 1930 at the age of 70. There is no notation of Sr.
Benedict's ministerial service in the Sisters of the Humility of Mary on the
summary information. Both are buried in the cemetery at Villa Maria
Community Center.
Thanks,
Dick Conoboy
