The Willoughby Ohio Public Library is hosting "Searching for Your Ancestors at Ellis Island" by area Croatian genealogist, Robert Jerin.

The seminar deal with:

> numerous search methods of searching

> the many pecularities found on the original ship manifests

> errors made in transcribing those records into the modern day Ellis Island Data Base

> Manifest markings and what they mean

I have viewed litteraly hundreds of ship manifests and have helped people who have not been able to locate their ancestors ship manifest... some have been searching for years!
