Subject: 1930 census transcription?

I seem to recall finding a transcription of the 1930 census somewhere
online and now I can't find it again.

I did find this one:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohcuyah2/census/1930cen/section1/ED_list.html

But there are a LOT of misspellings and the one I recall finding
before, seemed to have better information.

Is my memory just muddled and the one above is the ONLY one, or is
there another place to obtain the census? (This was free -- not
someplace like Ancestry, etc.)

Sandy

This is the only one I am aware of any where online

There are misspellings and there are transcriptions errors. If the census
taker errs the transcript must go with it. As this project becomes aware of
transcription errors it verifies them and then corrects them.

Where does one report these? The errors are a combination of census
taker misunderstandings and transcription errors. I'm focusing on
one particular ED# and probably more than 50% of the names aren't
even close to what they should be and what a family member would
probably use to locate an entry.

Here are some examples:

Transcription Should be
Chin**? Chmura
Gosior Gasior
Konriski Konarski
Kole Kohl
Kudtoez Kudlacz
Spingandek Oprzadek

Report transcription errors to me actually. The email address
gets to me or you can use .
Transcription errors will get verified and then changed on the page and in
the three related excel files that will make the final complete index when
the transcribing is done.

You may send me critical census taker errors and at some point we will
create a cross reference type of resource for these but please do not
include minor errors for example, a census taker error between Osborn and
Osborne.

Do include the specific ED# page# and error details. It helps a whole lot
of you include the url for the online page.

Please do not send me census taker errors mixed in with transcription errors.

Subject: Max Phillips Family

Does anyone have any information about the family of Max Phillips who
married Edith M Barker who was born in Cleveland 12-28-1887 and died in 1929? In
1928 they lived at the corner of Columbia and Butternut Ridge Rds in North
Olmsted.
