Hey gang: So today I got word from the Archivist for the old Sisters of the
Good Shepherd organization that used to be here in town that my ancestor was
probably orphaned at one point...
Here¹s what their record books state:
"Anne and Mary Cullen, ages 10 and 8 yrs.
Entered December 1876. Parents' names not recorded. Nativity -- Cleveland,
Ohio; Catholic religion; Annie received her Fist Holy Communion June 28th
and confirmed June 29, 1978²
These children were brought from the Protestant Orphan Asylum by their
mother who took them home November, 1880."
So, does anyone know of any good sources for info/records for the Protestant
Orphan Asylum? All of you on here have been so knowledgable and kind, it¹s
been amazing!
Let me know if you know! Regards- Mike
