Below are a couple guesses as to the missing words - based on common will
writing (I am a lawyer, although not a wills and trusts lawyer). I have
capitalized my inserted guesses.
By the way, the witnesses, Ray and Elsie Banta were my neighbors growing up
in Union City, Ohio. They were retired, living on Franklin Street next to
the UB/EUB/now United Methodist church. We lived on East Elm and their
property ran perpendicular across the back of ours, parallel to an alley.
They had several old bells on poles in their yard. Kids would walk through
the alley, throw stones to ring the bells and run like crazy, since my dog,
Skippy, would be irritated by the sound and chase them down the alley. The
Bantas were, to a young boy, were a very nice, prim and proper couple. As
I recall, Elsie's sister was Thelma Hufford, a Sunday school teacher at the
EUB church.
