Thanks Wally,
The sons had moved on to Indiana by 1850. I found Joseph Nevius in
Huntington Co., Indiana and William in Jay Co., Indiana. Other Darke Co.,
researchers may look there for missing ancestors after 1830. Maybe some
others went also.I owe having the names of spouses to a book about the
Nevius ancestry back to New York when it was New Nederland. The Nevius
family was some of the first there. I just finally connected to your Darke
County through alternate spelling.Nevius written out in cursive can easily
look like Nevins. And this name has been spelled a great many ways. I am
just tracing my line from the book and trying to document it as I go.
Although it did not give any info about Darke Co, just spouses names and one
sibling that might have stayed in Darke Co. That is how I found the marriage
records of her siblings. I am about 95% sure Albert Nevius died there
1820-1830. But now I will have to try to find his grave.
