I too am descended from a Moses Woods of Ohio from about those dates, but I believe it may be a different Moses Woods (how common a name was this?)

"My" Moses had a son Henry, born 2 July 1832, died at Ft. Pickering, TN on 1 June 1863 and I believe Moses's wife's last name was McDowell.

Anyone run across another Moses Woods that would fit this description?
