Subject: [OHDARKE] Research Lock-in
Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 15:15:02 -0500
Good afternoon,
The Preble County Room, Commodore Preble DAR & Preble Co. Genealogical
Society are again sponsoring a genealogy research lock-in on Sat., Apr.
12th from 4:30 PM to midnight. We call it Night Owl Prowl. It has
become a semi-annual event and FREE.
For those who don't know about it, we have volunteers who are familiar
with the Preble County Room's holdings and who assist researchers in
locating information. They also provide help for those "brick wall"
problems.. Researchers also have access to the library's subscribed
on-line resources via 10 computers. Registration is limited to 25.
The PCRoom closes normally at 5 PM on Saturday. But, those who have
registered for the Night Owl Prowl are "locked in" with the volunteers
until they chose to leave (or until midnight).
There will be snacks provided. Soda pop and candy bars are available in
a vending machine for $.50 each. Anyone having additional dietary
requirements may bring their food with them, too. We ask that food be
consumed in the meeting room only.
Please register with the Preble County Room at .
Thanks,
Susan
