I am searching for the information on James Smith born 1809. I believe
that he married Susanah Overly in 1830. I have confirmed that he lived in
Darke County from his son James W. Civil War Pension records. Son states
that he was born in Darke County Ohio. There is a James and William Smith
that show up with their families in the 1820 and 1830 Census. James could
have been a member of either of these families based on the count of
children and the ages..
I am wondering if there is a will for either or both of these two
Smith...hopefully listing the children's names...Any chance that someone
could look for me?
Thanks, So much! Janet Smith
