Hi, I'm looking for an ancestress, Mary Jane Hickman. B. 1842, m. Absalom
Vanmater Stewart 1862, d. 1881. She is listed as "a native of Darke
County, OH" in "History of Nodaway Co (MO)", but I don't know if she was
born there, or merely resided there at one point. I have no information on
her parents or possible siblings.

Husband Abasalom was a wagon and carriage maker in Hopkins, MO, before
running for land when the Cherokee Strip (OK) opened in 1892. She is
buried in the cemetery just north of Hopkins.
