Dear Researcher

The Ohio Historical Society Archives/Library is please to announce that
the Indexes to the 1945-1953 Ohio Death Certificates are now available
in the Microfilm Reading Room at the Ohio Historical Center. The
Certificates will not be available until March 2005 but patrons can use
the indexes to prepare their wish lists. Patrons can also use the
indexes to find exact dates of death to facilitate finding obituaries in
the many Ohio newspapers in our collections.

We will not be accepting mail requests for certificate research or
copies until the Death Certificate microfilming is complete and copies
are available in the Reading Room.

We appreciate your interest in the collections at the Ohio Historical
Society.
