Hi Folks --
Something messed up the format of the messages I sent earlier today
-- and they became almost unreadable. So, I am sending them again and hope
you can read them this time.
In connection with my research on the Wimer family, I am also
researching John WAYMAN's family. One of his daughters (Lydia) married Adam
WIMER. I don't have much on John Wayman, but what I have is listed below.
He was born in 1811 in Ohio and m. twice (Mary SMITH and Susie FREE).
Sometime in the 1840s or early 1850s he moved his family to Iowa; and one of
his daughters was born in Richland, Iowa in 1854.
Two of his sons (Solomon Wayman and Stephen Wayman) served in the
Civil War. After the war, both of them settled in Princeton, Missouri.
John Wayman and his second wife and 2 daughters moved to Oregon in
the early 1860s. They lived in Washington Co., OR, and he died there.
I am hoping that someone can identify the parents of John Wayman, and
information on wives and children of his sons Solomon and Stephen. Thanks.
