Hi!

I'm researching my Husband family. I'm connected to the Husbands through my gr grandmother Ida May Husband Schneider. My part of the Husbands probably started in Maryland or Delaware and moved west. I just found a land grant to a James Husbands on the BLM site. It shows that James received 100 acres in Delaware County on 4/28/1802. It was part of the United Brethren Warrant Act.

This is a very unexpected piece of information. I believe my part of the family moved from Maryland to some county in VA that became WVA during the Civil War. My 3rd gr grandfather James was born in 1808 in VA; he had two brothers William and Andrew born 1803, 1807, both of them born in VA. When they moved to Ohio, it was to settle in Muskingum County and Licking County. My part of the family moved from Muskingum to Iowa about 1850. William and Andrew stayed in Licking. This elder James Husbands moving into Delaware County in 1802 is a big surprise.

Does anybody out there have any information on this family?
