Special message to those readers of the Rootsweb Delaware County, Ohio, Mailing List who reside in Central Ohio:

The Delaware County Historical Society and the Delaware County Genealogical Society are jointly (with a church in Delaware) sponsoring a "Civil War Diary" program. In 1865, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University (located in Delaware) became a "civilian chaplain" in the Civil War, serving in Tennessee. He kept a fascinating diary which now belongs to his granddaughter. She and her friends have published this diary and they will present a program on their genealogical and historical research on the life of Louis Miller Albright during the Civil war as well as his life afterwards (including becoming the first pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church).
