John;
I can't search long tonight...but do if you have Ancestry.com look at this
guy...could he be the one? The age would be about right.

Subject: [MCCREARY] Alva McCreary
Alva McCreary is found in the 1840 census for Peru Township, Delaware (now
Morrow) County, Ohio. He and his wife were between 20 and 30 years old, and
had a daughter under 5 years old. I have NOT found another trace of this
family. There is an Alva M. McCreary listed in the Ohio death records that
died 23 Aug 1909. If this is the same Alva, where was he between 1840 and
1909?????
I suspect that Alva McCreary was the 4th son of James McCreary b. 1789 in
Menallen Township, York County, PA.
James and his 3rd son both lived very close to Peru Township in Delaware
County in 1840, and Alva would have been the correct age to fit into the
1830 census for James's family in Harmony Township, Delaware County, Ohio.
I need a whole lotta help on this one, pleeeease. Any help would be deeply
appreciated.
