The US Geological Survey's Geographic Name Server was down for a
while. It's back up and has a new URL:

http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/

Be sure to update your links and bookmarks if you have a URL that has
http://www-nmd.usgs.gov in the path.

For those who don't know, it's a great place to find the location
(including coordinates) of US state and territorial places, topographic
features, etc.
