Hi Carol,

Is this one of your Downings? Here is a little blurb from my History of Erie
County book by Peeke.

"Cyrus Downing came to Huron in 1809, settling on land west of the present
town, near Sawmill Creek, where he resided about three years, removing to
Cleveland, and dying there abouth the beginning of the War of 1812."

No Wisehaupts are listed.
