I had the same problem with the death records. From a kind list member
I had been given data from a cemetery book with names and dates of
death. My request was returned unsigned with a typed notation at the
bottom that although this data may have appeared in the cemetery book,
there was no record of the deaths in Erie county. My check was
returned.
