Is there a chance that the person you are seeking actually died outside of
Erie County? Sometimes people leave us from a nursing home and it is not
always in the same county. I found that the death certificates are found in
the community where they actually died, not where they are buried. Had this
problem with some of my husband's ancesters. You might want to try
neighboring counties.
