Dear Listers
Each of you should thoroughly explore all the links that Maggie
has provided through her Erie County pages!
You will find Ted's listings for many things (including the
cemeteries in the easter part of Erie County - Vermilion & Florence Twp),
1880 Erie Co, OH, Federal Census, and all the address you need for
ordering certified or uncertified copies of birth, death, marriage,
naturalization, wills, etc.
Spend an hour exploring - it can be very rewarding!
Now here again is the "skinny" on birth, death & marriage
records:
Birth & Death records from 1867 (sometimes earlier) to 20 DEC
1908: Erie Co. Probate Court, 323 Columbus Ave., Sandusky OH 44870.
Uncertified = free, certified = $7.00.
Birth & Death records from 20 DEC 1908 to present: Erie Co.
Health Dept., Bureau of Vital Statistics, 420 Superior St., Sandusky OH
44870. Uncertified = $2.00, certified = $7.00.
Marriage records from 1850 or so to present: Erie Co. Probate
Court (address above). Uncertified = free, certified = $7.00 (I am
pretty sure).
Always send all pertinent info with your request along with an
SASE as a courtesy.
Good Luck - but always visit you county of interest's pages and
explore what is available!
