I think that you will find that Homeville was part of Perkins Township, just north of the OVH (Soldiers' Home).
It was bounded by Columbus Ave.(west), Woodlawn Ave. (north), Milan Ave.(east),
Dewitt Ave. (south).

Dear Listers:
Does anyone have information on a town or community known as Homeville, near
the State Soldiers Home? I understand that this was a community of wives and
familes of men who were residents of the State Soldiers Home. They lived here
so that they could visit their loved ones in the home.
My great uncle entered the State Soldiers Home in 1911, and remained there
until his death in 1922. Someone mentioned that the town or community of
Homeville was where wives lived.
Any information will be appreciated.
