Surname: McCauley
-------------------------

I am looking for any informatin on my brother, Thomas David McCauley, adopted
son of Gordon and Dorothy McCauley. Here's what little information I have
so far:

My brother, birth name Everett Dean Dugger (born /30/1952), was placed
in foster care along with me. My adopted parents, however, chose not to
adopt him and just took me at 21 months old. "Dean" would have been 8-9
months old then when I was placed. Lorain County (Ohio) Social Services
was the agency used for both our adoptions, although he never indicated
on his application that he was aware of that.

He evidently was placed soon afterward in the home of Gordon & Dorothy
McCauley of Delaware, OH (Delaware County). They changed his name to Thomas
David McCauley. My name was changed from Mary Louise Stockwell to Janet
Lynn Bosch. Our father's name was Stockwell, our mother's name was Dugger.
Since our father was out of the picture at the time he was born, Dean was
given my mother's last name.

>From what I can gather, Tom's mother, Dorothy McCauley was a school teacher
in Vermillion (Erie Co.) where she retired in about 1976. Tom would probably
have gone to school there in Vermillion (I don't know which school). I
am under the impression that his father, Gordon McCauley may have been
an attorney in the area, but I'm not sure of that. They moved to FL in
1976 after Dorothy retired.

Thomas David McCauley placed application with the Tampa Bay social services
(I think) on 7/7/1997 to find a sibling he was told he may have . . . he
doesn't know whether he has a sister or brother, but I believe he knows
I'm older (by 13 months). His adopted parents died:

Gordon: 9/20/1998 (last residence Dunedin, Pinellas Co., FL)
Dorothy: 1/17/1999 (last residence Homosassa Springs, Citrus Co., FL)

I spoke with the news paper (Citrus County Chronicle) yesterday and they
checked the obituary for Dorothy McCauley and gave me "Tom McCauley" as
son and two grandchildren, Heather and Joshua. They didn't indicate that
there were any other names mentioned. I have people securing copies of
both obituraries for me.

I think this is about all the information I've been able to collect. I
do know that he is attempting to find me but he has no clue who I am.

I got the connection through the International Surname Registrar where
I filed my information just a few weeks ago. They obviously are in contact
with all agencies who send information about searches to them for them
to
coordinate and help match up those who are searching.

If any of these names or information sound even vaguely familiar, PLEASE,
PLEASE, PLEASE contact me to give me something more to go on. If you should
happen to know the family, please let them know that I am looking for Tom.

Thanks for your help . . . any tidbits of information will be greatly appreciated!
