Subject: [OHERIE-L] 1917-1918 World War I Draft Cards

The following came to me from another site. I do not see OH or IN people, not to say there aren't any up, yet. Good luck - by the way - this is free!

The GenExchange has just begun to load the 1917-1918 World Wide I
Draft Cards information at http://www.genexchange.com/draftcard.cfm
The Draft included men born from 1872 to 1900 and the cards usually
include date of birth, place of birth, nearest relative, residence at
that time, employment, general physical description. This could prove
to be interesting for those people whose birth was never registered.

It could be a year or two before the US-wide listing is completed.
The Mormon's have microfilmed these cards, and they may be ordered
from any Family History Center worldwide. Roll # 1504090 contains
surnames from A to W, Roll # 1504099 contains surnames from X to Z.
