Very probable. The Self's are mentioned in "A History of Kelleys Island" (by Norman E. Hills, pub 1925).
Hill's notes the Self's moved to Kelley's from Pelee Island. They originally lived in a house next to St. Michaels church. Mr. Self passed shortly after moving to the Island.
Elizabeth Self and her young children were provided a home, belonging to Robert Hamilton, rent free on Long Point.
She was reported missing July 3, 1877. The Islands populace searched the woods and shore for miles to no avail. Her body was found on the east shore, July 14, 1877.
The K.I. cemetary was founded in 1854. It is probable that both Husband and Wife were buried there.
