I have looked for material on the organization as my grandmother belonged.
She was in Huron Co, OH. All I've found so far is they were a fraternal
insurance group which was very big at the turn of the century when many
commercial insurance companies would not seel to other than wealthy people.
There were a number of such organizations - Modern Woodmen of America being
another.

What little I found was online at Joseph He was doing a
collection of oral histories, interviewing residents of Wood Co, OH.

I asked for more data from the Huron Co Gen. Soc., hoping they could find
data in the library. But so far no luck.

I have a clipping regarding my grandmother and it was from the Oct. 1913
issue of the "Ladies Review Lady Maccabee" magazine which was published at
Port Huron, Michigan. My grandmother belonged to the Maple City Hive in
Norwalk, Huron Co, OH.

I haven't been able to do more work until now, but would be happy to help
research this. Helene
