Shelly:
I found and article in the Sandusky Register, 17 Sept 1906, pg 1,
col 1, about David Siehl. The article is as follows:
FELL OFF OF TROLLEY CAR
David Siehl, employed by Bertsch & Dehngard, fell heavily to the
pavement in attempting to get off a Camp Street car Sunday evening
and received injuries which caused his death Monday afternoon.
Siehl started home about 10:30 and it is said attempted to alight from
the car before it had come to a stop. He missed his footing and rolled
over and over. His head struck the pavement but he walked to his
home thinking nothing serious had happened. Shortly after he arrived
home he complained to this wife of a severe headache. He objected
to having a physician called and his wife applied cold cloths to his head.
He went to sleep and at 7:30 Monday morning seemed all right, but at
noon Mrs Siehl attempted to rouse him but failed to do so. Dr
Boehmer was called and at 12:30 when he arrived saw that the man
was dying. He died ten minutes after the doctor arrived. Siehl was 44
years of age and is survived by a widow and 3 children. He resided
at 1420 Jefferson Street.
