I am searching for the family of Richard T. Smith, b. abt 1840 in OH. He married Mary F. Edwards in Huntsville, Madison Co., AL. They were living in Huntsville at the time of the 1870 Census. He was 29 and wife was 18.

By 1880, they were living in Atlanta where Richard was working as a foreman at an iron factory. I found Richard last at the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Perkins, Erie Co., OH. He was 79 years old.

I suspect Richard moved back home to OH following the death of his wife in abt 1895 since census records show he was born in OH, a were his parents..

HIs children were: Mary Frances, b. abt 1869, but apparently died before the 1880 Census; Walter b. abt. 1872; Perry b. abt 1876 and Clara b. abt 1879.

If anyone has information on this family, I would greatly appreciate hearing from them.
