The three Catholic Churches in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio are St. Mary's,
Sts Peter and Paul, and Holy Angels. The Irish immigrants in Sandusky generally
belonged to Sts Peter and Paul's parish, however, I have found that all
three parishes worked together to serve the Catholics in Sandusky. As a side
note, the three Catholic cemeteries in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio are St Mary's,
St Joseph's, and Calvary.

There is a St Joseph parish in Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio. Seems
confusing, but Sandusky is NOT in Sandusky County. There is also an Upper Sandusky
which is not in Erie County nor Sandusky County.

The Erie County Courthouse in Sandusky has naturalization records but I
don't believe the older records (1880) say anything more than "Ireland," or
"Germany" in them although there is usually a date (the clue to the time of
arrival in the United States). I remember looking at records from around 1920 or
so, that were very specific. I believe these were "Intention" records rather
than the actual naturalization records. I viewed microfilm copies of these at
the Milan Public Library in Milan, Ohio (which is in Erie County).
