The Second Ten Year Supplement to the Original 100 Year History of Fletcher Chapel Methodist Church with additional sketches up to 1957. By Arlie H. SPITLER, November 1, 1957

Alfred M. WHITE, who compiled the original history in 1937 and also the first 10 year supplement in 1947 passed away December 25, 1950. He was a great scholar, having attended college at Lebanon, Ohio after which he taught school for a time then followed the occupation of farming the remainder of his active life. A most efficient Sunday School teacher and as one of his pupils for many years, the writer considers it a privilege to assume this assignment and carry on where he left off with the church history.

The following notes were found among his possessions after his decease:
The first burial after the centenary was that of Edna KELLER, September 24, 1937. The funeral services were held at the home.
The first funeral service held in the church after the centenary was for Mrs. Elizabeth ROLEY, October 1, 1937
Eli HOLMES deeded 320 acres to Isaac WILSON, April 8, 1865
Isaac WILSON, deeded the same to Isaac FINKBONE, June 25, 1871
Correction...on page 2, the funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth FINKBONE was the first one held in the present brick church, instead of the last one in the old frame building. The last one held in the old building, was that of Mrs. Rachel PADEN, grandmother of Lois (SMITH) RADENBAUGH.
