Hello all,

I am trying to find info. about my ancestors as follows:

David Armbruster, born in Germany, died in Wellston, Jackson County, but may have lived and been buried in Lancaster. His son and daughter-in-law were John Armbruster and Mary Walters. Mary's parents were John Walters and Barbara Motz, born in Germany.

David died on Feb. 3, 1895 in Wellston. John died on May 17, 1904, and Mary died on August 16, 1941, in Wellston, but believe they may be buried in Lancaster. Mary Armbruster's death certificate lists a funeral home called C.F. Sanders and the address is listed as "Lancaster." No one in Wellston has ever heard of this funeral home or a Lancaster street or avenue, so the point was made to me that it may very well be Lancaster, Ohio.

The supposition I am making is that the parents, David and his unknown wife, originally from Germany, lived in Lancaster, and perhaps Mary Walters' family. Being coal miners, John and Mary ended up in Wellston, and when David's wife died, he went to live with them, which is why he died in Wellston, but wasn't buried there.

Then, perhaps, John and Mary had purchased a burial plot back in Lancaster, too, so they were buried up there. Jackson has Mary's death certificate, but not John Armbruster's, so I have written to the courthouse in Lancaster to see if they have it.

I am wondering if they might be buried in Forest Rose Cemetery in Lancaster, since it used to be two German cemeteries originally.

Sorry to ramble, but I'm trying to put out as much info as I can. Anyone with any ideas or info, it would be appreciated!!!

Thanks

Michael
