Rachel (and others interested in Millers),
I was wondering if there was a connection further back, since both the
Seitzes and Millers are supposed to have come from York County, PA to
Rockingham County, VA and then to Fairfield County, OH. I've never seen any
"proof" that Samuel Miller actually came from York County, but I don't have
any reason to think he didn't, either.
I see connections between most of the others who lived near Harrisonburg and
then came to Fairfield County - Coffmans, Comers, Biblers, Hites, and
Wickles, possibly Spitler (not sure), all apparently went to the same church
and were neighbors in (now) Page County. Christian Kagy married a Bibler, so
he's connected... The Brumbachs came from Page County.
But how do the Millers fit in with this group? Samuel was supposedly a
Mennonite, so not associated with them at church, except Brumbachs, who are
also supposed to have been Mennonites. He already lived in Rockingham County
at the time the others started their migration about 1786. Lewis Bibler was
apparently Samuel's neighbor, and the others lived nearby - I haven't mapped
it out - but there seems to be more than just a neighborly relationship.

?27 Feb 1792? (I'm not sure I got this date right.. if it was not this date,
it was close to it.)

Christian Miller of Pleasant Twp., Fairfield County, Ohio, made his will 24
Feb 1808. His will was filed in 1808, and recorded in Will Book 1, on page
144. His brother, Abraham Miller, Henry Culp, and Christian Kagy were
executors.
John Miller of Walnut Twp., Fairfield County, Ohio, wrote his will 04 March
1808. It was filed in April of 1808, and recorded in Will Book 1, on page
145. Executors were his brother, Abraham Miller, and Christian Cagy.
In 1811, Christian Kagy was appointed guardian of Elizabeth, Jacob and
Samuel, children of Christian and Elizabeth Miller. Later the same year
Andrew Hite, Sr. was appointed guardian of Elizabeth.
It seems to me that the Biblers and then Christian Kagy were too involved
with the Millers to not to have been more than just neighbors.
I don't know how Henry Culp fits in, either. I think I remember that he was a
neighbor of Samuel Comer in Fairfield County, but don't know how he ties in
in Virginia.
Lewis Bibler also bought land on Cooks Creek in Rockingam County from a John
Miller and his wife Jean.. I don't have the date for that handy...
I have copied the information out of the Samuel Miller genealogy on all
Samuel's kids, if anyone wants it. The book is not very helpful.
Debbie
Anna Miller the granddaughter of Samuel Miller and
daughter of Abraham Miller (from Rockingham to
Fairfield) is my 4th great-grandmother.
Anna married Jacob Keller in Fairfield in 1810.
If you tell me what it is you are looking for perhaps
I can be of help.
Yes they are connected to the Seitz family.
Jacob Keller's parents are Henry Keller/Catherine
Seitz and Lewis Seitz is the brother to Catherine.
