Dear Governor Taft,

As a Genealogist and one of your constituants, it has come to my attention that it is now going to become prohibitive for me and many others to persue our hobby and passion. The steep rise in the cost of birth, death, and marriage cetificates and deeds effectively curtails my research since I am among the senior citizens (still working but at a minimum wage job) that find it hard to maintain a decent standard of living.

The Legislature has just wiped out a large block of voters. Since we can't afford to pay such high prices, your hopes and dreams of taxing us to death to pay for a new computer system may not be realized or at the very least put off for some time.

I urge you to use your line item veto power to eliminate these high fees and set a more realistic cost or better yet just leave it alone.
