Pat, my great great grandfather Solomon Ponsler married as his 3rd wife
Sarah Jane McCurdy Bixler, widow of Henry Bixler, and although I am not
exactly sure where they were from, they ended up in Illinois. Sarah Jane
refused to be buried with Solomon and his two other wives <grin> although
there was a "place" for her. Do not know where she is buried, but possibly
with Henry (where ever he is). Solomon and his first wife Chloe Malinda
Breckinridge were my direct line.

in the family Bible, he married Eva Ann FLETCHER (1845-Fairfield Co). They
had one son, Joseph Bixler June 22, 1846 but I do not know where he was
born. Emanuel is said to be related to the Bixlers from Indiana. I cannot
seem to locate them anywhere in the 1850 or 1860 census. Eva and Joseph
appear in the 1870 and 1880 Fairfield Co census. Another interesting bit of
info..the 1890-91 directory lists Eva as the widow of Abraham (interesting).
If anyone has any idea where I fit in with the Bixler families, please
contact me at love to hear from you...I may have
some information for you too!
