My Shoemakers are from Fairfield also. I have John Shoemaker born in 1818
in Berks PA. Married to Rebecca Berry. John died in 1872 in Rushcreek,
Fairfeild ohio.

The family of SHOEMAKERs that I have researched for many years are as
follows:
John SHOEMAKER, b 13 May 1831 in Reading, Berks, PA, died 9 May 1911 in
Lima, Allen. OH,md abt 1863 ti

Dorothy (Dora) Pfeilsticker, b 14 April 1836 in Germany, died 14 Dec 1909 in
Lima, Allen, OH.

Their children were:
1. Harriet Elizabeth (Hattie) born 12 Dec 1853 in PA. died 30 Jun 1907 in
Columbus, Franklin, OH, md William Tipton 11 Oct 1877 in OH. Buried in
Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin, OH.

2. Mary Jane (Jennie) born 11 Jan 1857, died 1944 Columbus Grove, Putnam,
OH, md George W. Bowers 22 Dec 1881 in OH 1881 I think in Fairfield County),
need confirmation.)Buried in Osborn Cemetery, Pleasant Township, Putnam, OH.

3. Charles Joseph born 9 Oct 1858 in PA, died 18 Feb 1933 in Lima, Allen,
OH, md Amelia (Millie) Watkins bef 1897 probably in Tupelo, Lee, Mississippi
where he lived for many years.

4. Dora Almeda born 27 Sep 1867 in Fairfield, OH, died on 12 Apr 1909
Columbus Grove, Putnam, OH, md William Henry Eaton on 23 Nov 1884 in
Paulding, OH.
Buried at Middlecreek Cemetery, Washington Township, Paulding, OH.

5. Ida M. born 18 Dec 1867 in Fairfield, Ohio, died 12 Feb 1939 in Lima,
Allen, OH, md Benjamin F. Kipker on 13 Oct 1889 in Paulding, OH.

6. twins - George Franklin born 28 Dec 1870 in Amanda Township, Fairfield,
OH, died 24 Jul 1930 in Lima Allen, OH, md. 1st Stella, and 2nd Lola
Steinhelber in OH

7. Ella Viola born 28 Dec 1870 in Amanda Township, Fairfield, OH, died 9 Dec
1948 in Lima, Allen, Ohio, md Theodore E. Gekler on 9 Feb 1890 in Paulding,
OH.

Notes: All of the remainder of the children, and the parents, are buried in
Weldon Cemetery, Lima, Allen, OH.
Charles, for some unknown reason spelled his surname as SHUMAKER and is
buried under that name.
Mary Jane (Jennie) was married under the name of Mary Jane Schumacher.
I have death certificates for the parents and Dora Almeda. Also,
obituaries for the parents and Lola Shoemaker, wife of George Franklin.

I hope this information will be of assistance to someone searching the
family.
