Thanks for your reply. This has been a frustrating search. The time frame is not correct. The MD records are hard to find in Allegany Co as it was changed 4 times. The Land record of 1798 refer to purchase in 1793, but cannot find that record.

I did find on Ancestry yesterday a book "Genealogical and Heraldic Dictionary of the Landed Gentry of Great Britain and Ireland". Joseph Pever is listed section P & V. I could not get it to download.
