Are there newpapers for the 1840's and 1850's available somewhere for
Fairfield County Ohio? I have been searching for an obit or death notice or something
for my great great grandfather Jacob Stuter for years now. He must have died
by 1850 because his wife Harriet Chamberlain Stuter went to work for John
Bright as a servant and then married John by 1853. Her three Stuter children were
farmed out to relatives until Harriet and John married and then the children
too went to live at the Bright estate on Havensport Road in Baltimore,
Fairfield County. I would love to find any information that would lead me to his grave
or the reason for his death so I could maintain his grave. Of course there
could be other scenarios also.
