I have Samuel as the father of Milton (my gg grandfather). Samuel was married to Elizabeth. The 1850 Census shows Elizabeth to be 16 years younger than Samuel...he being born around 1798 and her born around 1814. I'm trying to find out more information on Samuel Depoy (i.e. his parents, etc). It is thought throughout the family that he came from France possibly. Could someone do a lookup for me? The last state they were in that I know of was Ohio. Milton eventually moved to Illinois, but I'm not sure if his parents followed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
