Hi Pat

Do not put all your eggs in one basket.
In Columbus we have 4 very good resources.
Spend a couple hours at each. Ask for help in locating what you need.
If anyone place has real good info for you go back there,
for followup & additional research.
#2, 3 and 4 are resonably close together.

1. OHS -Ohio Historical Society (others have told you about it)
http://www.ohiohistory.org/index.html

2. State of Ohio/Genealogy on 3rd floor 65 S Front St., Downtown area.

3. Franklin Co Genealogy Socity. just west of Downtown area
570 West Broad St.Columbus,Ohio,(469-1300)Across from Beyers Chevy

4. Columbus Public Library on Grant St., near Grant Hosp.,
just east of Downtown area, south of Broad St several blocks.

Subject: Information

Hello,
I am coming to Columbus this month and want to know where to go to find the
most information for someone who will only have a day or two at the most. I
want to find info on brothers, Samuel ( 1805-1849) and James Paxton who
lived in Hilliard and also info on Archibald McAninch/McNinche who lived
just north of them and may possibly have been their grandfather. He died
between 1830 and 1840 and served in the Revolution from Penn.. Thank you
very much.
Pat
