I have been tracing my Paxton family line. My great-grandfather was John Paxton from Ohio. My grandfather Paxton was Page E. Paxton. He knew very little about his family, as his mother and father seperated when he was young. He spoke of a place called Johnsville, OH. John Paxton had a brother named Alfred.(possibly) My great- grandfather John was born about 1846.
I did find a Cival War record for a John Paxton and also an Alfred Paxton. I also found a birth record for John E. Paxton of Franklin Co. Ohio who was the son of Samuel Paxton and Amy Wilcox Paxton. Could there be a connection. Do you know if Robert Byron Paxton had a brother John. Is there an Alfred Paxton connected to this family in some way?
