Just north of downtown Columbus there is a former army facility called Fort Hayes. I don't know much about it's history but it is now mainly used by Columbus Public Schools. They have an alternative high school there that focuses on the arts. I believe some army reserve units still use parts of the property. You may try finding Columbus Publis Schools home page to find more.
