Guess I'll have to check out Whitfield TAPPAN. I can't seem to find Winfield Tappan anywhere other
than on the 1870 Census in Seneca Co, OH and his marriage record to Mrs. Maria (Daub) Smith. Maybe
Winfield's family came from NJ. I haven't even been able to find a record of his death or
tombstone.

I found a Howard & Hilda TAPPEN buried at Six Corners Cemetery, near Hicksville, Defiance County,
OH. Are they in your line? Actually Hilda may still be living as her death date was blank. (b.
1915 - d. ____)
