Well, I've been having a great time searching for my family surnames in
the Gallia County Marriage Books (3) and the Mason Co. WVa Cemetery
Inscriptions books (5 vols) and the Mason County Marriage Book by Julie
Hesson. I have hit paydirt on many occasions but I am stumped about
what what appears to be either multiple marriages on the pasrt of an
individual or
multiple individuals with the same name and approximate age ...or both!

I will post this msg (and several similar ones) to both lists in the
hopes of obtaining some clarification from other listers. Here
goes....

John W. Hughs, s/o Christopher and Rebecca Hughs, b. abt. 1839 in OH; I
have found the following brides for
John W. Hughs. Did he marry both? one or the other?

1. Martha A. Wallis , m. Nov 10, 1869, Mason County, WVa, v.6,p.95.

2. Nancy E. Waugh, m. July 22, 1891, Mason Co. WVa, v.8,p.150.
