Subject: [OHGALLIA-L] SOME GALLIA FOLKS IN WEST VIRGINIA HARDESTY'S
Date: Thu, 01 Mar 2001 11:06:05 -0500
In skimming through Hardesty's histories of counties in West Virginia
for some gen. leads, I've come across a few references to Gallia County.
I'm not through, but I thought I'd list those I'd found to date. Maybe
they'll help someone whose ancestors suddenly disappeared from Gallia.
The references below are from the personal biographies sections of
Putnam and Kanawha (I'm only about half through with Kanawha). These
aren't the complete write-ups -- I just wrote down the barebones (no
genealogical joke intended.) I'll post any other names I find as I wade
through the volumes. (Both books were published in the 1880s.)
