My ancestor Esther S. Rife fits into that line.

1. Jonas McCARTY. Born on 7 Oct 1791 in Shenandoah, VA. Jonas died in
Cheshire twp. Gallia county, OH on 20 Jun 1851, he was 59. Buried in 1851 in
McCarty cemetery Cheshire, Gallia, OH.

In 1811 when Jonas was 19, he married Esther S RIFE, daughter of Joseph RIFE
& Margaret CARPENTER. Born on 23 Mar 1791 in Greenbrier, WV. Esther S died in
Cheshire twp. Gallia county, OH on 4 Sep 1884, she was 93.

They had the following children:

On 20 Dec 1832 when Nancy was 20, she married Solomon SWISHER, son of George
SWISHER & Dortha ROUSH, in Gallia county, OH. Born in 1808. Solomon died in
IL abt 1890, he was 82.
