Hello All,

I just wanted to post a note and publicly thank the four people/groups who volunteered their time and energy to help proofread the 1860 Gallia County, Ohio Census Abstract book that I've been working on since January of this year.

When I originallly posted a message on this board (about 2 months ago) seven people came forward and volunteered to help proofread the 209 pages of this 1860 Gallia County, Ohio Census Abstract book. Three of the seven eventually decided, for one reason or another, that they couldn't do it after all, and that left only four volunteers.
However, four has proved to be enough. Actually there were 6 people total, i.e., three individuals and one group of three people

These four people/groups, who were absolutely wonderul to help out with this, were (in the order of who did the most to help with this effort):

Debi Grubb of Gallipolis, OH. (Debi volunteered to proofread 20 pages initially and then volunteered to proofread 40 more pages, AND she is currently in the process of proofreading the final 60 pages)

Mary James of Gallipolis, OH. (Mary also volunteered to proofread 20 pages initially and then she volunteered to proofread another 29 pages after that).

Russell Hummerick of Painesville, OH. (Russell volunteered to proofread 20 pages)

Henny Evans & Carolyn Cogar & Ann Brown (Henny and her two friends also volunteered to proofread 20 pages as well).

Anyway, I just wanted to publicly thank each and every one of you. THANK YOU! Your help with this project is/was SINCERELY appreciated. Those of you who gave me your addresses I plan to send each of you a free copy of the book once it is finished; for your help with this. Thanks once again./Kelly
