You may have already gotten this answered privately, but here
goes. From Columbus the best roads and probably the fastest time will be
south on Rt 23 to Chillicothe, then southeast on Rt 35 to Jackson, then
east on Rt 32 to Rt 160. Go south on Rt 160 to Ewington, then turn right
onto Ewington Road and go west about 1.5 miles (approx.). You will go past
Shepherd Lane (do not turn) to the next road - Township Road 46. Just a
little piece up that road (maybe a quarter mile) is Franklin Cemetery. I
have several relatives buried there from my mother's side of the family
(Vance, Woods, Dodrill).
You could also go from Columbus to Athens on Rt. 33, then go west
on Rt 32 to Rt 160. I am not familiar with Rt 33 although the map shows it
to be 4 lane most of the way and the distance looks about the same as the
other route. Maybe you could try one way from Columbus and the other way
back to Columbus.
